Fun with the hose

After the game, Evan got to play in the hose with Josh. He was drenched, but loved every second of it!

Reds/Indians Game

On Sunday we went to the Reds/Indians game with Josh and Laurel, Bart, Lisa, and Carson, and Brian, Jennifer and Caleb. With 2 two year olds and 1 one year old, we didn't have high expectations for how long we would stay. Throw in the 80 degree temperatures, and it was really miserable. The boys made it about two innings up in the seats and then we took them down to the play area and had a snack. Evan had his first hot pretzel, and insisted on dipping it in the cheese. In the end we stayed about six innings, which wasn't too bad for Evan's first game. This is how Evan looked most of the time in the seat:

Clapping for the players:

Here Evan is seeing his first costumed person....he wasn't scared at all!

We were up in the 400's, when going down to the play area we stopped right behind first base to watch the game. Evan seemed much more interested down low.....maybe next time we'll have to get closer seats!

Playing with Carson in the play area:

Cincinnati Zoo

On Saturday we went to the Cincinnati Zoo with Josh and Laurel. It was HOT. We only made it through about half of the zoo before everyone had enough of the heat. Evan was a real trooper since he didn't feel all that well and was a sweaty mess.

He seemed to notice more of the animals this time and liked looking at the rhino that came up really close to us.

Car Seat

We turned Evan's car seat around for the trip to Cincinnati. He likes being able to talk to us now and kept waving at Adam. It is also cute to watch him dance to the music. We are hoping he will be happier in the car now that he can see what is going on.

Sick again!

Evan had another ear infection and high fever this past week. We had several sleepless nights and naps on Mommy. Luckily he was better in time for our fun filled Memorial Day weekend in Cincinnati!

Big Boy Eating

Evan ate a peach all by himself the other night. He cleaned it right down to the pit!

He also likes eating with a fork out of a bowl.

Yardwork

Evan helped with yardwork today. He loves digging with his shovel. We got some pretty flowers for the porch and fixed up our flowerbeds. Adam has done a good job considering how the yard looked when we moved in last year!

Eating Yogurt

Evan has decided that he now wants to feed himself with a spoon. He did a fairly good job.....but makes a huge mess!

He has also decided that he no longer needs to wear a bib and likes to rip it off.....which makes for an even bigger mess!

Mother's Day Face Plant

Evan did his first face plant outside. He has a nice driveway burn on his cheek and eye. I'm sure it is the first of many!

Ball Pit

We got out Evan's ball pit that he got for his Birthday from Uncle Aaron. He loved throwing all of the balls out and then picking them all up again. He likes throwing with both arms over his head.

Laundry Helper

Evan has started to throw his clothes in the hamper at night. The only problem is he also wants to empty them back out too......

Sipping through a straw

Evan figured out how to sip through a straw tonight. He had fun carrying around his OSU cup.

Sharing

We went to visit Josh and Laurel this weekend in Cincinnati. Evan loves their dog Gordy and even shared some of his goldfish crackers with him.

Shoes

We went to the Striderite outlet this weekend and got Evan his first real pair of shoes. He had a lot of fun pulling the boxes off the shelves in the store.....I didn't find it so fun. He was a little unsure of the shoes at first, but scuffed them up in no time and now is an old pro walking in them. He looks very grown up with them on!

Golfing

Adam was practicing his swing in the front yard and let Evan hold a golf club and ball. Evan was excited. I think it is time to get him his own set!
