One Year Old!

Monday was Evan's first Birthday. We had his pictures taken.....he was NOT in a good mood, so they weren't the greatest, but at least his outfit was cute.

He ate another piece of cake, and seemed to enjoy it more this time.

Today was his one year doctor's appointment. He weighed 23lb 6 oz and is 30 1/2 inches. The doctor also noticed that another top tooth popped through, which would explain his crankiness. She said he is doing great developmentally!

Kid's Meal

We ordered Evan his first Kid's Meal at Max and Erma's on his Birthday. He had a chicken breast and broccoli. He only ate about a fourth of it.....but at least Adam and I didn't have to

share with him!

Walking!

Evan is officially walking on his own now! He still only takes about 6-7 steps at a time, but will take off unprompted now.

1st Birthday Party

Yesterday we had Evan's Birthday party in our newly finished basement. We had a great time and Evan got a lot of fun new toys and summer outfits. Here are some pictures from the day.

We did an Elmo theme because he loves his Sesame Street books and always giggles when he sees it on TV. My friend Sheila made the cakes.

Evan was not really in to smashing the cake. He just took some bites of the icing and then picked off Elmo's eyes.

Then he decided to feed some to Daddy.

One more week!

Only one more week until Evan's first Birthday! We cannot believe it is already here. He is starting to take steps....we think he'll be walking by next weekend for his party.

Adam has been working nonstop on the basement. I love how the pole next to the stairs turned out!

The molding is up around the ceiling and the carpet is just about done.

We also ordered our TV and couch this weekend. We can't wait to use our new room!

Ceiling

Adam is finishing up the ceiling tonight. It looks great! We are very excited. Only carpet and molding left to do!

Outside!

Evan loves the nice weather! Our next door neighbors were nice enough to hand down a Cozy Coupe to Evan. He thinks it is fine to ride in it and also push it around.
