Pictures from the sitter

Here are some more pictures of Evan having fun at the sitter's house this month!

Elmo!

We went to see Elmo's Green Thumb last weekend with Bart, Lisa, and Carson. Evan had a blast! He was dancing, pointing, and yelling during the show. He definitely understood who the characters were on stage and when Elmo first came out he probably yelled Elmo 50 times.
In this picture he is standing outside Nationwide Arena pointing at the huge TV across the street. He was very impressed!

Little Helper

We've been working on Evan's new room. Evan liked helping Adam build the new dresser. He's going to hopefully sleep in his new room this weekend!

PA

We went to PA a few weeks ago to see my family. Evan had fun playing with my Aunt Ginny's curlers, playing outside at the park, stomping through the leaves, and visiting with my grandma.

Finally Better!

These are pictures of me trying to keep Evan happy during our THIRD visit to the doctor this month. Evan was sick with what started out as a cold and turned into a really bad cough for most of October. He went in for his 18 month well visit at the beginning of the month when he was just starting to get sick. I took him in the following week because he had a really bad cough and we thought he was having trouble breathing. Since he had RSV last year, we get nervous about his breathing, but the doctor said his lungs sounded great, he wasn't wheezing and sent us on our way. Finally after two more weeks of coughing- especially at night, we took him back in and of course he didn't even cough for the doctor! Luckily, she listened to what we were describing and decided to test him for Pertussis (Whooping cough) and put him on a Z-pack just in case the test came back positive or she said it could have been bronchitis. Two nights later she called us back and sure enough he has Whooping cough! After 5 days on the antibiotic, his cough is pretty much gone and you can tell he is feeling much better and happier. I feel bad he went for so long like that and that he was around so many people/kids while contagious! Thank goodness she decided to test him even though he has been vaccinated and there haven't been many cases of Pertussis lately. I wish just once, Evan could just get a normal cold!!!

More Daycare pictures

Our sitter sends us the cutest pictures of Evan each week. It is so nice to get emails from her while we're at work and see that he's having fun while we're gone!

Halloween

On Halloween, the monkey made another appearance. We started off by having a pizza potluck with the neighbors then took Evan around the block trick or treating. He started off a little unsure, but by the end he was walking up the driveways on his own! When he was finished he didn't get upset, he just asked to be put back in his wagon. He then helped hand out candy for a while and danced around for all of the other trick or treaters. Of course he had suckers and candy the whole time to keep him occupied! We tried to keep him up late in preparation for the time change, but that didn't work out so well as he was up at 530 this morning!

Halloween Party

On Thursday the sitter had a party and Evan dressed up as a pumpkin. (Two people gave us hand me down costumes, so we put them both to use!).

Trick or Treat Night at Adam's School

Evan got to dress up three times for Halloween. First was Wednesday night, which was trick or treat night at Adam's school. Evan was a monkey and Adam was a Wheaties box. Evan acted really shy at first, but ended up having a good time. He wanted to try out the Wheaties box when we got hom.
