Books!

Evan LOVES to read books. He will sit and look through them on his own and also loves when we read them to him. I usually read to him right before bed and he will scream when each book is finished until I start another one. He is getting good at lifting the flap on the peek a boo books and knows right where to touch on the textured books.

More snow!

We had more snow this week. I had snow days on Wednesday and Friday and Adam had snow days on Wednesday and Thursday....so once again Evan only had 2 days in daycare....January has been a waste of money!! We tried to take him out again, still not really in to it and he would not smile for the camera! He did laugh when I ran around with him.

2nd tooth

Evan's second tooth popped through this morning. It is his bottom left one. I noticed it while he was eating some pancakes.....that I had time to make this morning since Adam and I are both home for a snow day! Yeah!! We are going to try taking Evan out to play in the snow this afternoon.

Playing with Caden

Last night we went over to Joe and Kim's house so the boys could play. They had fun playing with Caden's door toy together. Evan also had fun looking at Brutus through the gate.

TOOTH Brushing

Adam started brushing Evan's tooth during his bath. He loves it. It must feel good on his swollen gums. The top ones look like something could pop through any day now.

Pizza!

Evan kept grabbing at Adam's plate while he was eating pizza last night. He gave Evan a piece of the crust and he went to town gnawing on it!

COSI

Yesterday we went to Cosi with Bart, Lisa and Carson and Brian, Jenn and Caleb. The boys had fun exploring the special area just for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Evan LOVED the water tables. I had to change his clothes afterwards he got so wet! Since teachers and kids under two are free, I'm sure we'll go back again soon!

Snow Day!

Evan and I had a snow day today. Adam didn't and had a looooong ride in to work :(

Since I couldn't take Evan out in the snow, I decided to bring it in to him. He had fun putting his hands in it and moving it around in the tub. He even tasted a little and made a funny face because of the cold.

Height 30 inches- 95th%
Weight 22lb. 5 oz- 75th%
Head- can't remember size but it was 95th%....he has a lot of brains in there!

Everything else looked great! Hoping he doesn't have to go back until his Birthday!

Snow!

We finally have some snow on the ground. However, we also have really cold wind chills. I wanted to get Evan out in the snow, but since it is so cold I only took him out for a couple of minutes. Unfortunely I didn't get any good pictures. He was more interested in looking at a dog next door, than smiling at the camera or paying attention to the fact that he was sitting in the snow!

Moving around

Evan is in constant motion now. He is pulling up and getting everything on the coffee table.

Last night he also crawled over to the stairs and started climbing up them. We let him give it a try, of course we were right behind him.

Tomorrow he goes for his nine month check up so I'm sure I'll have updates from that. But since we like our doctor soooo much, we decided to make an extra visit today. The daycare workers said he had snot coming out of his eye....we thought he had another ear infection, but it turns out he has pink eye- the doctor tried to show us where it is red, but Adam and I both can't see it. So I'll be home with him tomorrow!

Big 24 Hours

In the last 24 hours Evan has started to crawl, wave, and got his first tooth. He must know tomorrow is his 9 month Birthday! I am out of room on his calendar for everything he did today so it is a good thing he is in bed now! Who knows what tomorrow will bring??

New Year's Eve

This year we spent our new year's eve with Jennifer, Brian, and Caleb and Bart, Lisa, and Carson. Evan had fun playing with all of Caleb's big boy toys. He especially liked the train table. He tried to grab the train each time it went by.

We left around 1130 and got home right before midnight. I was upstairs feeding Evan when the ball dropped so Adam paused it for me. Here we are right after our "fake" midnight:
